We are doing things a little differently at the moment, so to keep you, our customers and ourselves safe we’ll engage with you digitally where possible.

We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome (and growing) Leasehold team. You support 8,000 leasehold customers nationally covering varying tenures and will be responsible for managing your own workload and geographical area.  As a supporting role you will work alongside our Service Delivery and Maintenance Teams to deliver our customer promise as well as our Legal, Sales, Development and Finance team to ensure our customers are at the heart of what you do.

For you, the detail really matters as you’ll set and reconcile service charge budgets across all our leasehold schemes. You will also manage and administer all Section 20 consultations and provide critical information for resale packs. You have a passion for doing a great job and exceeding customer and colleague expectations.  It’s a busy team with lots to do, so your energy, resilience and can-do attitude will help us achieve our outcomes!

Where you’ll work

Our South team look after customers across a huge area. You will be allocated a patch of your own to look after and support. Ideally, you’d live in or near your patch but it’s not a deal breaker. You could be based at one of our local offices or choose to work from home, we’re fine with either! You do need to be aware, that you’ll spend a few days a month on the road meeting your customers and housing colleagues.

Our first patch is South East, covering South London, Kent, Sussex & Surrey, and you could have a potential office base in our Havant or Harrow offices.

The next patch is the East, covering Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk and you could have a potential office base in our Chelmsford office.

Next we have the East, covering Hertfordshire (inc Watford), Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire, with possible office bases in Peterborough, Hendon or Chelmsford.

Finally, the South West, which covers Berkshire, Oxfordshire & Reading and with possible office bases in Reading or Harrow.

About our team

You’ll work alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about providing a consistent and professional specialist leasehold service to customers and colleagues.  There are 23 of us in the team in total based across the North and South but we operate as one National Team. We are newly formed, so this is a great opportunity to join us on the start of our journey.

Our manager is Nicki, and she has worked at Home Group for 20 years now! Nicki mostly worked within our Housing function, but recently made the move to join the leasehold team, and she’s loving it! Outside of work when not looking out for her teenage boys, she loves to play the cello, and is really missing her orchestra buddies during the current lockdown!

Working hours

It’s the team’s unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours!

About you

It would be amazing if you already have the key skills and knowledge of Leasehold having already worked in a Leasehold Department before.  However, if not it’s your “can do” positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here!

You’ll be organised with strong communication skills in order to build effective relationships with both stakeholders and colleagues. You will ensure that we always get the best result in a timely manner.

You’ll have a good understanding of budgets and financial data in order to do the role effectively.  You will ensure we can account for where our customers money is going as if you don’t our customers certainly will.

You have great Customer Service skills to support your customers. They rely on you to be knowledgeable, helpful and ensure their enquiry is dealt with accurately and timely.

You will have a sound knowledge of Microsoft packages, especially Excel, in order to manipulate data. With your own area of around 1,000 to support you will have the ability to multitask, prioritise and work under pressure.

You’ll spend time travelling regionally to visit your patch, and occasionally for team meetings. It’s important to us that you are mobile and have access to a vehicle insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay your expenses to cover this use!
