Release Planning & Re-Enablement Co-ordinator
Job Location: Corsica Street - with travel to the Prisons 1-2 days a week
Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

We are looking for a Release Planning & Re-Enablement Coordinator to work in partnership with London Prison Service and Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.
What you'll be doing
In a nutshell, you will ensure effective continuity of care and support is provided to prisoners with mental health support needs prior to and following release from prison by monitoring progress and offering advice and guidance. You'll participate in the delivery of support across the Greenwich Prisons Cluster aimed at delivering advice and information to prisoners prior to release.
You'll be a confident and motivated team player, you will need to act independently, understand people's needs and have the skills to motivate and inspire individuals. You will appreciate the value of clear professional boundaries and demonstrate high standards of good practice.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone with a relevant NVQ level 3 or equivalent and / or working towards diploma in criminal justice and skills equal to the HMPS Competency and Quality Framework. You will have substantial experience of delivering support services to people with mental health support needs (e.g. social care, social housing, social work) and a good understanding of issues involved in supporting offenders in the community.

You'll hold a current Counter Terror Check (CTC) issued within the last 12 months.
