This is an overview of the role:
This is an exciting opportunity at the heart of Homes England to contribute to the effective running of our Regional Planning & Enabling teams. You will report directly to the Regional Director and work hand-in-hand to deliver key operational activities that underpin our strategic objectives.

You will be responsible for providing an intelligent Secretariat service to our Local Development Management Team (LDMT) meetings. This is a key part of the governance/compliance/control framework within development and will include responsibility for managing the meeting process effectively, setting agendas and ensuring timely submission of reports, attending and recording meetings, producing a clear audit trail of decisions, and working closely with the Regional Director to manage outstanding Actions and Conditions. You will also be required to work closely with higher authority Boards and project managers in relation to the onward submission of approval papers.

You will also be responsible for the management and coordination of the regional Annual Land Validation & Valuation Exercise (ALVVE) process. This will include the instruction and management of external consultants as appropriate, being the conduit between the national Valuation team and the regional team on ALVVE related matters, project managing members of the Development team to provide valuations and have them reviewed in a timely manner to meet regional and national deadlines and provide oversight to the Regional Director on progress. 

You will also provide additional support to the Regional Director and associated Heads of Team in the preparation of the business plan and periodic updates, briefing notes and presentations as required.

The successful person will be responsible for:

Provide an intelligent Secretariat service to LDMT; providing guidance to Project Managers, producing Minutes, managing Actions/ Conditions, forward planning meetings and support administration. 
Work with Development PE Secretariat and onward decision-making bodies to develop an integrated pipeline of future project approvals. Provide regular reporting on decision made at LDMT.
Management and coordination of the annual ALVVE process. To include, instruction and management of external consultants as appropriate and liaison with central Valuation colleagues.

Develop and maintain policies and procedures while ensuring compliance.  

In order to complete the responsibilities for this role, the successful candidate will have:
Essential: Experience of providing Secretariat support to a Board and/or Committee.
Essential: Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a demanding workload, understanding of change management principles. team working skills. 
Desirable: An understanding and experience of public sector governance, experience of matrix management as manager or the managed.
