This role is responsible for the design and delivery of innovative approaches to addressing Functional Skills amongst our customer group. We'll look to you to design learning materials that inspire and promote achievement as well as motivating and supporting customers to achieve accredited Functional Skills qualifications.

After undertaking initial assessments with customers to ascertain suitable learning pathways, you'll then support them to achieve outcomes that enable their progression into work, apprenticeships or further education. You'll achieve this by:-

  • Preparing individuals for a return to work through assessing each person's individual employment needs through vocational profiling/assessment and refer the person to other support if they have particularly complex barriers.
  • Providing classroom support and ensuring accessibility to our learning by providing functional skills provisions through a diverse range of appropriate teaching methods.
  • Delivering quality products and services, producing great outcomes individually and within project teams.
  • Developing partnerships with organisations who deliver high quality learning.

You'll come to us with both graduate level education and a recognised teaching qualification. Ideally you'll have previous experience of supporting those with mental health barriers to securing or sustaining employment. You'll also have sound knowledge of functional skills, the design of lesson plans and schemes of work and excellent customer and interpersonal skills.

If this sounds like an opportunity you're interested in, we look forward to hearing from you.
