£36,922 - £39,880 plus a market premia of £3,870 per year for three years and an Essential Car User allowance.

We are looking for a dynamic and customer focussed Compliance Manager to join our Repairs and Investment Team. 

Reporting to the Repairs and Investment Manager you will play a lead role in the successful management of our compliance work streams namely: gas, solid fuel, electrical, lifts, fire safety, water hygiene and asbestos. You will also manage new heating installations, electrical upgrade works and fire risk assessment works. You will procure contracts and ensure compliance with contract conditions and that works are completed to the relevant statutory and regulatory standards.

With the ability to successfully work in partnership, you will ensure that our tenants’ objectives around high quality, communication, and customer care are met.  You will ensure that programmes are delivered in line with agreed budgets, and that key performance indicators are met. 

The role requires the candidate to demonstrate substantial experience and knowledge of the current legislation of compliance work streams and preferably hold either an appropriate gas or electrical qualification or an HNC in Building Studies or equivalent qualification as set out in the person specification.

You will also have experience of managing and supervising a small team of surveyors and administration support staff.

With a population of over 171,000, Charnwood is one of the largest district councils in the country in terms of the number of residents.  The borough sits centrally between the three cities of Nottingham, Derby and Leicester, extending from the town of Loughborough in the north to the edge of Leicester to the south. 

Charnwood is easily accessible from the M1 and the high-speed rail link between Sheffield and London. The Council owns a housing stock of approximately 5,700 properties.

The post holder must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle to undertake site visits. The package includes an essential user car allowance.
