The Role:

The Commercial Services Manager will evaluate all levels of commercial risk and maximise the benefit to Thirteen, covering procurement, risk mitigation, pricing and contract management.

The Commercial Services Manager will report commercial performance associated with Asset Investment to the Senior Management Team and manage sub-contractor accounts from start to final account, consisting of enquiries, tendering, negotiation, placement of orders and order of final account.

They will ensure payments are made on time to our partners and in accordance with work completed on the programme.

The Person:

We are seeking a dynamic individual who is up to the challenge of leading a professional team on commercial management associated with Asset investment programmes.

Experiences in both JCT and NEC suite of contracts would be desirable, as the team support the development, introduction and management of a significant partnership contract.

You will need to provide and be accountable for financial forecasts for teams’, contractors’ and partners’ expenditure over the duration of projects, and to support financial planning, forecasting and budget controls.

You will be responsibile in leading the team in negotiations and where required resolve complex disputed issues to consensus, and agree final accounts including scrutiny of payments, variations and invoices.

The successful candidate will act as a source of professional advice for managers on levels of payment to partners, in-house spend profiles and monitoring spend against budget. They will lead on contract procurement, management and performance across Asset Investment and support group procurement through various frameworks that support the business requirements.
