An exciting opportunity

Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up.

Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here. The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.

The Post:

Surveyor required to work in a dynamic team providing a cutting-edge and award winning architectural and surveying "Agency Service" to design and manage grant-funded adaptations across tenures for people with disabilities.

This is a performance orientated, multi-disciplinary role, generally requiring you to work proactively and autonomously, having an ability to grow in the role and influence improvement to our service.

You will carry out comprehensive surveys of properties to identify the most reasonable and practicable options for adaptation. You should also have an ability to understand and provide advice on all aspects of housing legislation relating to grant-funded domestic building work.

The Person:

You will have recent and extensive experience of delivering / supervising adaptation projects to specification / quality standards, within budget and on time. You will have very high standards of customer service, understanding the need to regularly update clients on progress and take ownership of their enquiries.

Closing Date:Sunday 11th October 2020 (23:00)
Assessment & Interview Date: TBC
