Helping us to be leaders in New Models of Care. That’s when it hits home.

We have a brilliant opportunity to join our New Models of Care Business Development team, where you’ll be supporting us to develop a pipeline of opportunities to achieve growth in our Care and Support services across England.

Covering the Yorkshire and North West region, you’ll be engaging with commissioners to identify their needs, using your excellent collaboration skills to design products and services that deliver brilliant outcomes for our customers.  We’re focusing on people with Mental Health needs, Learning Disabilities and older people – with a particular emphasis on Transforming Care supporting customers with complex support needs.  You’ll have the support of our fantastic clinical team as you develop new services, ensuring that we have the right practice and interventions to meet the complex needs of the people we provide services to.

We have ambitious growth plans and significant investment is being made to support the delivery of our strategy to ‘build homes, independence and aspirations’. The team are well-established and we have a significant pipeline of new business that we are looking to replicate in our Yorkshire and North West and Yorkshire regions – and this is where you’ll make your mark!

You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about helping Home Group reach our goal of being market leaders in New Models of Care. The team is headed up by Darren, our Head of Business Development who has worked here for over 8 years both in operational and business development roles and in social care for over 19 years. He’s passionate about giving his team the space to be creative, sharing and using their knowledge and ideas to feed into the organisation’s wider vision and strategy. His natural coaching style helps to get the best out of people and the whole team.

About you

As a Business Development Manager you’ll have the unique chance to mould and shape our future and success, but to do that, it’s critical that you’re a self-starter! You have worked in a similar role previously, owning business development activity and have a great understanding of commissioning processes, including tendering. You’ve also got substantial experience of managing or commissioning in a health or social care setting and ideally some of which has been developed within a local authority commissioning environment.

It goes without saying that you’ve got brilliant communication, writing and presentation skills, are a great collaborator, networker and are able to build great partnerships that benefit not just yourself, but the wider business.

When and where you’ll work

You’ll shape your own diary. However you’ll likely spend around 2 days or so per week on the road, and working from home the rest of the time.  You’ll get all the latest IT kit to support you.

Working flexibly - it's the output that counts!

It’s our unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off when you need it. Our focus is on delivering brilliant outcomes, not your working hours.
