Sittingbourne, Kent (travelling to Sussex will be required)

12 month - Fixed Term Contract

Do you have solid contract management experience? Are you able to successfully manage contractors using SOR and non-SOR? Are you able to lead on the mobilisation of new contracts, demobilisation of existing contracts and project work?   We’re looking for someone exceptional who wants to make a difference and likes a challenge. If that’s you, a fabulous opportunity has arisen to join the Property Services team who manage the stock in Kent and Sussex as a Senior Maintenance Surveyor.

What you’ll be doing

During this exciting 12 month Fixed Term contract, you’ll take leadership and complete ownership in managing the mobilisation of one of our key client accounts from inception.

You’ll supervise and manage a team of Maintenance Surveyors and Void Coordinator, Team Administrators and Resident Liaison Officer delivering a day to day and void repairs service.

You’ll ensure staff, residents, leaseholders, managing agencies and property owners are provided with a high standard of service.

You’ll manage existing contractors as well as leading on mobilisation of new contracts through to being fully established.

What you’ll need

You’ll have extensive career experience in a Contracts Manager type role in a housing association environment, local authority or council (Essential)

You’ll have experience in managing SOR and non-SOR contracts (Essential)

You’ll have senior leadership experience managing contracts from inception to completion (Essential)

You’ll have experience of carrying out the lead officer function (Essential)

You’ll have proven track record in managing the procurement, finance and budget of contracts (Essential)

The role will work with a range of residents and colleagues, so a positive approach to collaborative team working is essential. You’ll need to live our one team culture.
