This is a very exciting time to be joining Redditch Borough Council as we embark on a journey of transformation and improvement across Housing and Neighbourhood Services.

An early opportunity has arisen for someone to join a newly forming Housing Management Team that will lead the service into the future. From the earliest stage of the review of all housing services, you will have opportunities to shape your service area and deliver our strategic objectives to improve, strengthen and balance the daily operations of the Housing Revenue Service, to be delivered to tenants and leaseholders across the borough.

The role will initially be demanding and challenging, but not unrewarding and therefore we are looking for an exceptional person. You will need to be demonstrably knowledgeable, experienced and successful in developing, leading and managing the full range of housing revenue streams, including rent and service charge collection and setting, recovery of rent arrears and sundry debts and provision of highly collaborative advice and support services that maximise opportunities for tenants to successfully sustain their tenancies.

Because, we are entering a period of significant change and transformation, which will include a restructure, you will also need to be a confident and accomplished manager of change, preferably with some project management experience to successfully build your team and lead them into a continuously improving future.

The closing date for receipt of completed applications is Midnight on Sunday 11th October 2020.  First stage interviews are due to be held week commencing 19th October 2020. The medium is to be confirmed subject to government and corporate guidance in operation at the time.
