Maintaining assets cost effectively! That’s when it hits home.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Property Surveyor (known internally to us as a General Practice Surveyor) to assist in the delivery of Home Group’s property strategies and to provide advice, support and guidance in accordance with statutory and legal requirements, RICS guidelines and internal policies and procedures.

We are Home Group, one of the UK’s biggest housing associations with an impressive track record; we don’t just build houses, we build homes and make a difference to people’s lives.  We are ambitious.  We are currently undergoing a significant period of growth and change that will enable us to build more homes, independence and aspirations – the vision that underpins our new five-year strategy.

We’re big, we’re commercially strong, we have a turnover of over £300m and assets valued in the open market in excess of £3.5b.  Our new strategy commits us to doubling our current housebuilding rates and to increase our sales programme tenfold, covering a range of joint ventures with private housebuilders and our own direct development.  What makes us No. 10 in the UK’s Best Super Large Places to Work or gives us Investors in People Platinum Standard….? It’s our brilliant people like you!

You’ll be working for Nicola, another recent addition to the team, who has over 20 years post qualification experience, to appraise properties and deal with a variety of enquiries the property team gets from customers, colleagues, stakeholders and third parties.

You’ll also be involved in property acquisitions and service charges, working alongside our operations teams to support customer needs.

So if you want to do awesome things in a brilliant team… join us at Home Group.

About you

You’ll be a member of RICS and have experience in residential property including lease renewals, property management, acquisitions & disposals (on lease and freehold basis). You’ll undertake options appraisals, providing recommendations and delivering investment plans.

You’ll impress us with your customer focused approach to support service excellence and your ability to prioritise workloads to achieve targets within agreed timescales. You’ll be a brilliant influencer and negotiator with the ability to reach clear conclusions and recommendations.

We need you to travel to sites so you need to be able to drive with access to a vehicle insured for business purposes.
