This is an overview of the role:

Postholder will provide an effective estates management service for Homes England land and property portfolio within the Central and West team.
 
It is intended that the postholder will primarily focus on Homes England’s assets in the Devon/Cornwall area but work in others areas covered by the Central and west team may be required. 

The role requires supporting acquisition & delivery teams across the Agency in the acquisition, holding and disposal of assets, helping to deliver local and national priorities for housing through the various Homes England programmes. 

Postholder will ensure all areas of estate management risk are identified and managed to ensure compliance with relevant statutory provisions and Homes England policy and procedures.

To work in an agile way supporting the mission-based approach of Homes England.  This will involve working collaboratively with partners across the Agency, including MPP and Investment, as multifunctional teams to support key deliverables such as the single pipeline.  


The successful person will be responsible for:

Assist in the delivery of an effective and efficient estate management service across Homes England land and property portfolio; ensuring the principles of value for money, good practice, health and safety and risk management are adhered to.
Develop and implement estate management strategies that optimise income, minimise costs and mitigate risk and liability.
Provide specialist support to delivery teams in meeting delivery objectives, including the preparation of reports and recommendations where necessary. 
Implement changes required by new legislation relevant to, and having an effect, on Homes England property portfolio
Lead on the preparation and management of the estate management budget and project holding costs.


In order to complete the responsibilities for this role, the successful candidate will have:

Demonstrable experience of working within a property and/or estate management role,
with extensive experience working at a senior level in a relevant sector.  

Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation as it applies to property management, i.e. NEBOSH or IOSH qualification is desirable

Proficient in the use of IT applications e.g. MS Office
