Are you looking for a varied and challenging safety role to expand your skills?

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to expand their skills as a Safety Assurance Officer, working alongside the Senior Safety Assurance Manager, to provide specialist support and advice to key dutyholders and producing data and information on compliance and safety performance.

We're looking for a technical safety specialist and subject matter expert to ensure compliance and assurance standards are met and to provide operational technical and specialist support in relation to employees, residents and contractors including, but not limited to, the following key risk areas:

  • CDM
  • Construction & maintenance (including responsive repairs, planned investment and new build)
  • Assessment & control of contractors
  • Property-related risks such as asbestos, legionella, gas and electricity

As part of a team of technical safety specialists you'll play a key role in the auditing and inspection regime and must be able to confidently liaise with duty holders on performance and to build and support action plans to improve performance and compliance through to completion.

You'll help with the implementation of safety management throughout the organisation, including policy, procedure and training, providing a high level of customer service and professional advice and guidance in line with current safety legislation and Clarion policy and procedure.

You will ensure accident investigations are completed, with proportionate corrective action identified and completed with comprehensive reporting systems in place, including but not limited to RIDDOR reportable events ensuring accurate records are maintained.
