Are you looking for a varied and challenging safety role to expand upon your skills and experience?
We are looking to appoint an experienced and knowledgeable Senior Safety Assurance Manager who will be instrumental in implementing new assurance systems as well as being a subject matter expert able to provide specialist support and advice to key dutyholders ensuring Clarion not only fulfils, but exceeds its H&S legislative responsibilities with regards to employees, residents and contractors.
You'll manage the Safety Assurance Team to ensure the competent officers deliver an effective and appropriate technical and specialist safety service. The team will provide assurance in line with current safety legislation and Clarion policy and procedure by delivering a programme of audit and reviews of safety systems, practices and processes across all areas of the business developed in conjunction with the Group Safety Assurance Manager and Director.
This is an extremely varied role covering a wide range of subject areas and you'll be someone who is organised, with keen attention to detail who is able to develop and implement robust and user-friendly processes with a sound working knowledge of all aspects of health & safety legislation. You will also be a strong manager who has demonstrable experience of successfully managing a small team to deliver high quality outcomes, potentially in a time sensitive and high pressure environment.
This is a superb opportunity for you to utilise and expand upon your health & safety experience and knowledge and will include the key safety risk areas of:
- CDM
- Construction & maintenance (including responsive repairs, planned investment and new build)
- Assessment & control of contractors
- Property-related risks such as asbestos, legionella, gas and electricity
You'll work with the wider safety team to identify, develop and deliver a training program in a variety of formats to build competency within Clarion ensuring high standards of delivery are met. You will lead on ensuring accident investigations are completed, with proportionate corrective action identified and completed with comprehensive reporting systems in place, including but not limited to RIDDOR reportable events ensuring accurate records are maintained.
