Clarion housing Group as part of its growth ambitions is looking to recruit an experienced Head of Land for it Eastern region stretching from Norwich in the North to the M25 and Greater London in the South focused on the key growth areas within the region.

A key leadership role in the organisation you will be managing a growing team of land managers and graduates and you will be accountable for purchasing land and package deals for mixed tenure /mixed use projects and land opportunities to meet Clarion Housing Group's growth ambitions.

Working for the National Director of Land for the South of England, you'll appraise new opportunities, considering options for tenure, mix, design, funding, use and partnership working.

In addition to overseeing multiple site acquisitions, you will lead the creation of new partnerships and joint ventures, and as such you will be required to maintain an already well-established network of connections with such stakeholders as land agents, property professionals, funders, developers and contractors.

Negotiating the contractual and commercial aspects including Heads of Terms for new projects is a vital part of this role; you'll draw on expertise from the Finance and Procurement teams and external advisors where required, and progress opportunities through to handover to the regional development teams.

You will contribute to the development and improvement of strategies, policies and procedures to ensure that they deliver Clarion Housing's objectives, along with ensuring all projects are compliant with identified financial regulations, housing scheme standards and organisation policies.

Strong leadership and the ability to motivate your team are essential skills to succeed in this challenging, but rewarding, role. In addition, you will be required to display excellent communication skills, alongside an ability to challenge, influence and engage senior managers and other stakeholders.

You will already have a strong track record of identifying and securing new land opportunities for residential development, as well as experience in leading and developing a growing team of Land Managers.
