Indeed, with a target of 1.500 homes in development every year, there’s never been a better time to join us.

What you’ll be doing

Regeneration and Special Projects focusses on development opportunities arising from the London Development Partnership and other Public Land tenders, regenerating some of Optivo’s existing assets and working with commercial and local authority partners on larger scale Joint Ventures. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new development opportunities to deliver Optivo’s growth targets. You will lead on securing a programme of sites within a region for development for a range of tenures, including commercial operations. You will be responsible for the acquisition of land and securing planning consents and partnership deals, ready for the Construction team to procure construction contracts and build out where relevant.

What you’ll need

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form long lasting productive relationships with vendors, developers, consultants, valuers, local authorities and other key partners. You will be skilled at securing new business opportunities in a highly competitive environment, being able to produce and interpret KPIs and Management Information to support the comprehensive growth of your team. You’ll have demonstrable ability to use and experience of appraisal and cash flow software (POD, Proval, Pamwin, Sequel or similar). You’ll have experience of negotiating site purchase, construction contracts and development agreements. You’ll have a track record of successfully taking complex schemes through the development process and into contract. You’ll have a clear operational understanding of local, regional and national planning policies.

You will work with a range of contractors and colleagues, so a positive approach to collaborative team working is essential. You’ll need to live our one team culture!
