The Senior Financial Analysis Manager is responsible for obtaining assurance that the Regulator’s economic standards are being met across a portfolio of the most complex and/or largest Registered Providers, including that their financial viability is being maintained. This is achieved through delivering financial analysis work, leading a team of financial analysis staff and working as part of a management team.The Senior Financial Analysis Manager also leads in-depth assessments of providers with responsibility for a multi-functional team, working closely with governance colleagues to gain a rounded view of a provider’s compliance with our standards.

Job Description (the successful person will be responsible for):

Leading a team of Financial Analysts to deliver effective regulation for a portfolio of Registered Providers, assessing whether they are well governed and financially viable and that the economic standards are being met.

As this is a leadership role, the post holder will manage relationships at senior, Executive and Board levels with authority and credibility.  They will support the ongoing development of the RSH’s financial regulatory approach and directing financial analysis resources to ensure that the work programme can be delivered.

Responsibilities (In order to complete the responsibilities of this role the successful candidate will have):

The successful candidate will have a CCAB financial qualification or equivalent with experience in financial regulation or financial management and be educated to degree level in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience.

With a track record of delivering results in a financial or assurance-based environment and excellent financial modelling skills and highly developed critical and analytical evaluation skills, the post holder will be able to exercise sound professional judgment and reach conclusions.

 

General Information:

Location

Our staff are currently working from home due to COVID restrictions.

RSH’s core offices are in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol and London.  Our posts can be successfully carried out from any RSH office unless otherwise specified in the job information.  We offer flexible working arrangements and staff can work from home for part of their hours.

Most roles involve some travel within England between our offices, and some roles also involve onsite visits to social housing providers.

In line with Government requirements to reduce the number of Civil Service and NDPB roles based in London, we only advertise roles in London which need to be there for business-critical reasons.

Interviews

Interview dates are too be confirmed and will take place via Microsoft Teams due to the current closure of RSH offices and staff working from home.

The salary for this role is a spot salary within the given range, which will normally be the minimum of the range.  Annual salary reviews are determined by the government pay award. In addition, when the probation period is successfully completed, a performance related bonus may be awarded, based on appraisal ratings at the end of the qualifying appraisal year.
