About Us:

This department is responsible for housing, communities and improving the lives of local residents.  This includes landlord services and estate management, planning, refurbishment, and advice and support to help maintain healthy and safe homes.

A significant part of our work is focused on creating stronger communities, by working together with local residents on recovery following the Grenfell tragedy.

In response to London’s affordable homes crisis, we are committed to building more social housing to help people on lower incomes to live, work, and raise their families in the borough. Our housing team also work closely with affordable housing providers and other agencies to manage homelessness and give support to older residents to live independently.

The Role:

Are you an inspirational housing professional with an impressive track record of delivering high quality services to homeowners?

Delivering responsive, high quality and value for money services to our residents are key to our success. We are looking for an exceptional candidate to provide inspiring and energetic leadership to the Home Ownership Team. Leading a team of 5, you’ll ensure income is maximised whilst homeowners are fully engaged. You will work closely with other Council departments and key stakeholders to achieve excellent performance and high quality outcomes for our homeowners.

The role is responsible for dealing with general correspondence from leaseholders, issuing all S20 Notices, resolving disputes and leading on the project ensuring leaseholders’ front entrance doors comply with Building Regulations.

For more information on the role, please see the Job Description

About You:

You’ll have specialist knowledge of leasehold management, legislative and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be customer focussed, able to work in a methodical, organised and structured manner under pressure and with excellent attention to detail. You’ll work collaboratively, across teams and departments.  You’ll understand and interpret complex information and present to a variety of audiences.

Role Requirements:

  • Responsible for the successful compliance and service of all S20 and S20B notices, working closely with other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of the capital programme and that all major works income is protected and maximised.
