Who are we?"

We are the Government’s national housing agency. Our role is to accelerate the pace of house-building across the country, particularly in areas where there are the most serious affordability issues – meaning people are struggling to find homes.
We have the appetite, influence, expertise and resources to drive positive market change and meet the Government’s ambition to deliver 300,000 new homes a year. We are using our land, influence, funds and knowledge to increase the pace, scale and quality of new homes accelerating delivery in areas of greatest demand and helping create great places to live. Within the next few years, we will have invested over £27 billion across our programmes. To deliver against these aims we’re building a different kind of public service - join us to help make this happen.

What we offer:

We understand how important life is outside of work so, as well as competitive salary and 33 days annual leave, we are totally committed to flexible working. We’ll support, wherever possible, so that you don’t miss out on what truly matters to you.
If you do ever need a little bit of extra help we have a great employee assistance programme, financial well-being support and access to loads of great discounts with leading high street names.
Our range of network groups are also there to support you to truly be yourself at work and play a key role in helping shape our future.
If you are a member of a professional body we’ll pay for your membership and once you get your top of the range digital kit you’ll be good to go in one of our great offices (or at home!)

A bit about the role...

Working in a small, busy, and enthusiastic team you will play a critical role in supporting the Help to Buy Communications Team within Homes England.
We’re committed to supporting homebuyers by informing and educating them about whether Help to Buy: Equity Loan might be the right solution for them. We also work with the other professionals who help homebuyers in their application journey such as mortgage advisers, solicitors, and homebuilders.
There are lots of ongoing development opportunities within Homes England, and amongst other things, we’ll train you to publish content to one of the most successful websites in the country – gov.uk.
Members of our team are based in different regions of the country, so we’re used to working remotely. We’ll provide you with all the equipment you would expect from a modern government department to enable you to do this (some travel will be required for meetings, when it is safe to do so, after coronavirus). As a communications professional, you’ll also have access to the full suite of Adobe Creative Cloud apps.
You can expect a warm welcome from us, and a comprehensive induction to help you become a productive member of the team as quickly as possible.

A bit about you...

You’ll only fit in well with our team if you truly value diversity and can work with colleagues from a range of backgrounds and cultures.
You’ll bring experience of effectively managing social media channels to the team – from creating end to end campaigns, to community management. If you haven’t done something before, you’re willing to do your research and suggest a way forward.
Confident in your ability to create content that meets user needs, you’re also passionate about writing in plain English. You know how to present information in engaging and accessible formats, depending on the digital channel(s) being used.
We’re looking for a true team player, who is able to identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with colleagues to put solutions in place. As well as learning from your colleagues, you’re also willing to share your knowledge and expertise with them.
You understand that in the world of digital communications your knowledge can never truly be up-to-date, so have an ongoing desire to learn new skills and adapt to new ways of working.
