We have a brand-new role of Communities Lead, a key member of our Housing and Community Services Team (HCS), and we’re looking for the right person to join us. Working with communities, you will collaborate with colleagues across Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT) and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF), as well as external agencies who share our vision to maximise inclusive opportunities with and in communities.

You will lead and inspire experienced teams to deliver agreed programmes of work and develop new approaches that align with our mission to ensure that everyone has a decent home, in a good place and that people have a good standard of living. If you share that vision, we’d love to hear from you.

About you

You will possess extensive experience of working with diverse communities to achieve demonstrable outcomes, ideally though not essentially within a housing remit. You will be able to demonstrate a robust approach to leading and inspiring teams to deliver and be able to evidence how your practical knowledge can inform local action, especially in relation to reaching more marginalised groups within a community.

You will have influential communication skills, with demonstrable interpersonal skills, to create, develop and nurture positive and lasting relationships with communities, colleagues and stakeholders

Highly organised you will be self-directed and possess managerial and leadership skills and expertise, to be a highly effective member of the HCS Leadership team.
