This role

The safety of our customers, and therefore building safety, is our number one priority. This role will work across our diverse geography & portfolio to ensure we take a coherent and co-ordinated approach to building safety at a time when expectations are rightly increasing.

The Building Information Manager will lead a team on sourcing soft and hard copy building technical and compliance information from across the business and many information sources in order to collate, sort and centralise the storage of information to allow it to be easily and securely accessed by internal and external stakeholders. You will lead on influencing what level of information should be gathered against our assets based on risk priority in order to support development of Building Safety Cases and compliance with Regulatory requirements.

Working collaboratively with colleagues in Development and Property so that a consistent business approach to asset data and project filing of technical information is established.

Contributing to the development of asset data requirements, employer’s requirements, EIRs and procurement documents to support the Safer Buildings Agenda including consideration relating to BIM, Golden thread, Building Safety Cases etc. and how information is shared and accessed with ease.

This is a key role in a new team and will help ensure the safety of our customers.

What you'll need to succeed 

• Confidence to make decisions under challenging circumstances balancing risk to deliver better approaches and services

• Experience managing the delivery of complex multi stream projects

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Degree qualification in Architecture, Building Surveying, Fire Safety or other relevant qualification

• Experienced at reviewing technical information for compliance with Building Regulations.
