Director of Finance and Resources

With nearly 1,000 properties, Arhag is one of the UK’s biggest BAME housing associations but was founded as a campaigning organisation for migrants and refugees. Founded in 1979 it currently own and manage 920 homes in inner and outer London. Arhag is recognised as an ambitious and high performing housing association, delivering good quality services to our residents and actively growing the business.

Arhag is currently looking for a new Director of Finance and Resources to carry on the good work done by the current interim incumbent, supported by the existing team.  

Job purpose:

• As a member of the executive team, ensuring the development and delivery of Arhag’s vision, strategies and business plans.
• To provide the overall strategy, direction and management of finance and treasury services for Arhag.
• To provide the overall strategy, direction and management of office management, and HR system/payroll for Arhag.
• Ensure a strategic approach to the development, management and use of IT across the organisation, and robust oversight of investment in IT infrastructure.
• Advise the Arhag Board on appropriate systems, processes, procedures, and control mechanisms to meet its business objectives, with respect to finance, treasury, information/ICT, HR system/payroll and financial governance
• Ensure through the Arhag’s’ process and procedures, that all statutory compliance requirements with respect to finance, treasury, information/ICT and financial governance are embedded within the organisation.
• As required Deputise for the Chief Executive
