We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Development Accountant to join our team in London. In a nutshell, you'll be responsible for reviewing documents related to drawdown and payment requests from JV partners. You'll also be support the Senior JV Accountant in preparing future Cash flows provided by external JV partners ensuring all known business changes are reflected accurately for the Development Reporting & Accounting team.

You'll provide support to the development managers in preparing financial and commercial analysis for Project Control Group and LLP/Development Board. You'll review and assist development managers in understanding the financial model for joint ventures. A key part of this role involves providing support for year-end tasks such as audit requests and inputting information into the statutory accounts process for all Joint Ventures.

Other duties include:

  • Assist the development of financial systems including ERP, resolve the development spend reporting and re-implementation of Project Ledger.

  • Maintain close and effective relationships with other finance teams including Financial Services, Business Partnering, Financial Performance and Analysis

  • Take a proactive approach to all duties undertaken ensuring that any concerns raised from internal or external sources are satisfactorily resolved as quickly and efficiently as possible.

  • Escalates issues to the Senior JV Accountant.

We're looking for a qualified Accountant with relevant financial accounting experience as well as experience of working in an accounting/finance department or similar environment. You'll have acute attention to detail with strong investigatory skills. We're looking for someone with up to date accounting knowledge of project accounting in FRS102 and SORP for RPs.

Excellent communication skills will be key in the role and you will be confident dealing with a variety of queries both internally and externally. This role will be challenging, as your multiple priorities will change as we operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
