The Council is seeking to recruit a Senior Development Officer to work within our Regeneration Division, to help us make the best use of our existing land and buildings. As Senior Development Officer, you will support the Asset Review Programme in undertaking a number of options appraisals across a range of sites in the borough that could have potential to deliver high quality new housing, commercial or place shaping opportunities to help deliver the Council’s priorities and further Hackney’s reputation for leading the way in its approach to regeneration.

You will have experience in undertaking options appraisals, drafting business cases, and have experience in project management in the development or regeneration sectors. You will work closely with the Senior Development Manager to undertake a large number of options appraisals, this will involve establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with a large range of internal and external stakeholders. You will lead the coordination of all technical, financial and strategic information in order to inform robust decision making.

You will have some experience of public sector procurement and contract management requirements. Knowledge of planning policy and technical skills to undertake GIS mapping is essential.

The Regeneration Division is delivering an ambitious programme to build thousands of genuinely affordable homes and shape the future of the borough’s town centres in partnership with local residents and businesses. The Divisional Programme Office is a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team that provides specialist support to these projects – such as programme management, design, and sales and marketing.
