Making Redbridge a great place to live is our ambition. We are committed to building a bright future for our diverse communities across the borough. Redbridge has experienced significant population growth in recent years and will continue to grow with exciting regeneration, development programmes and the advantages of infrastructure improvements such as Crossrail.

Growth brings opportunity but challenges too, particularly in how we meet our housing needs. We want to end homelessness in the borough and become an exemplar for our preventative approach. This will involve modernising our service, inspiring leadership and ensuring a culture of good performance and financial management.

We also want to build new homes for our residents. Our development experience is limited so this is an opportunity to shape our approach and cultivate new relationships with developers, registered providers and other key partners. It will require more collaborative engagement with our communities and close working with Members.
