We have an opportunity for an experienced housing maintenance professional to work within our Response Repairs Section. You will need to be able to work as part of a team to ensure that the work tasks you undertake meet the satisfaction of our tenants.

The job holder reports to the Response Repairs Manager and works closely with the Response Repairs Supervisor and Compliance Supervisors for gas and electrical works.

Maintenance Surveyors undertake a wide range of surveys in order to schedule works and provide specifications for planned jobs. The post holder must be able to investigate, diagnose and resolve technical issues and deal with enquiries from tenants. They also need to monitor and manage contractors employed to undertake the remedial work. Their workload includes delivering adaptations for tenants with a disability and acting promptly to address the reasons for damp in properties.

A minimum of an appropriate HNC or relevant technical surveying qualification or extensive trade knowledge is essential

The role does include out of office hours duties as part of an agreed rota. A vehicle is provided with the post.
