Job Details

We're currently looking for a dedicated Leasehold Income Specialist to join our team.

Based within a centralised team of Customer Account Specialists, the role will support the delivery of the Group's income management service and policies, which aim to maximise the amount of rent, service charge and major works collected, as well as minimising the financial hardship suffered by Clarion customers.

Some of the main duties include;-

  • Managing all account types our customers hold, including refunds where accounts are in credit
  • To own the whole income collection and arrears process as defined by policy and process to ensure appropriate recovery action is taken to reduce the level and incidence of arrears in line with annual targets
  • To manage all aspects of a customers' account.
  • To take legal action as appropriate and in line with policy to recover housing debt, including the service of notices the completion of legal paperwork for court applications and enforcement of court orders.
  • To establish and maintain strong, effective relationships with colleagues and external partners, such as local authorities, mortgage lender, the DWP and advice agencies
  • To be responsible for the delivery of excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
  • To complete any other duties commensurate with the post that may be required from time to time throughout the group

You will need proven experience of providing a high quality customer service through a variety of media, and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range and level of people and organisations and to be able to deal with difficult customers. We are looking for you to have to have front line experience in a rent/debt collection environment and an understanding of housing legislation as it relates to leasehold and shared ownership tenancies.
