A growing business with a strong social purpose

Our purpose at Catalyst is ‘homes people love’. That means everything from developing and maintaining great homes, to delivering excellent service to our customers every day. We provide housing for those who can’t afford a home without our help as well as offering a wide range of homes for rent, shared ownership or outright purchase. We’re one of the UK’s leading housing associations with 34,000 homes and 1,200 employees. We're a strong business at a particularly exciting point in our evolvement having recently merged with another large housing association, Aldwyck.

We’re a Sunday Times top 100 Best Company to Work for. We invest care, time and resources in our people because we know it’s our people who will drive our purpose. If you’d like to be part of what we do, please get in touch.

The role

As a Floating Support Worker, you will play an active role in delivering our support service to vulnerable people. You’ll primarily be working with vulnerable adults with learning difficulties, physical and mental health disabilities across the Hertfordshire area, to support them with maintaining their tenancy. You’ll need to work closely with your Senior Floating Support Worker and local care providers to make sure the service delivered is seamless and consistent. In doing so, you will maintain accurate records on your customers, and you will complete all administrative tasks required.

Key requirements

You may have some experience of working in a similar role, however if you have a passion or interest for working with vulnerable people then we’d still love to hear from you. You’ll need good IT skills and the ability to manage a complex caseload. People skills are an absolute must for this position, so you need to be a strong communicator both in writing and in person. Due to the nature of the role, a discreet and sensitive approach with strong professional boundaries is also required. You’ll be working remotely on a daily basis, so you need to be comfortable visiting properties, working without supervision and occasionally out of normal hours (as required).

Company

The UK has a housing problem. This affects every one of us, because housing is the foundation of the society we live in. Catalyst is part of the solution.

We are one of the UK’s leading housing associations – a member of the G15 group, with over 21,000 homes. We’re here to make a purposeful difference, providing housing solutions and opportunities for those who can’t afford a home without our help.

We offer a wide range of homes, for rent, part ownership or purchase. And by doing so, we build more than homes – we build communities.

We also work hard to be a great employer, to deliver outstanding customer service and to be a high-performance business. We are absolutely committed to our social purpose, in every part of our organisation. And we always seek to do better.

We’re a Sunday Times top 100 Best Company to Work for. We invest a lot of time and resources in our people because we know it’s our people who will drive our success.
