Join this innovative social business as an ASB Officer and use all your practical experience of managing tenancies and anti-social behaviour to ensure we continue to deliver and improve our service.
Raven is a business with a clear social purpose: building homes and changing lives. We aim to be an outstanding provider of homes, a cornerstone of the community and an innovative employer.
As an ASB Officer, on a fixed term contract of up to 5 months, you’ll be supporting tenants to maintain their tenancies and taking necessary enforcement action for breaches of tenancy (excluding rent arrears). Working with our Tenancy Services and Tenancy Enforcement teams, you’ll be helping to provide a proactive and responsive ASB service, investigating and managing assigned ASB cases from start to finish. This will include meeting with victims and perpetrators to consider possible resolutions, keeping witnesses safe and up to date, and signposting to other specialist partners/agencies, particularly if linked to domestic abuse or mental health.
With a good understanding and working knowledge of legislation relating to the management of tenancies and ASB, you’ll need to demonstrate practical experience in this field, with the ability to empathise with victims and to take a firm but fair approach with alleged perpetrators.
Confident handling cases on your own, you’ve previously conducted witness and perpetrator interviews, drafted witness statements and produced effective reports and Court paperwork. A clear and concise communicator, open-minded to alternative solutions - particularly in relation to hoarded properties - you must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle for work at all times. You should also share our values: earning trust by being open and accountable, listening with an open mind, working collaboratively and caring about making things better.
