Working within the Operations Directorate, you will lead on or support a number of key business projects. This includes delivery of our growth and property refurbishment programme, introducing agile working, leading on the development of our green agenda, whilst being operationally responsible for ensuring that our properties meeting our landlord health and safety obligations. We are also working on a wide range of digital initiatives which will enhance our service to customers and ensure that we offer a high performing repairs and maintenance service. The successful individual will have a pivotal role in visioning what our customer offer and service delivery looks like.

About the role:

Working closely with the Operations Director, you will be part of the management within the Operations department, focussing on delivering the Asset Management and Growth strategies.

You will ensure that business meets its landlord repairs and health and safety obligations, our void properties are made ready to let as expediently as possible and that our properties maintenance programmes are fulfilled. You will achieve excellence in customer service and asset maintenance. You will work to deliver our growth targets, working in conjunction with Homes England and our local authority partners.  

You will work to deliver our digital strategy, and will ensure that our services maximise the advantages offered by information and communication technologies.

Who we're looking for:

We are looking for someone who is target driven, with a strong focus on customer service. You should be systematic, meticulous and thorough in your approach. You will have excellent project management skills, and excellent management skills with an ability to support and motivate your team. You will be confident in your approach to the role, and be knowledgeable in all areas of social housing.  You will hold a relevant professional qualification and be willing to pursue further study to develop within the role.

The ideal candidate will be proactive and work to the highest standards.  A thorough understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements and practices associated with social housing is essential.  Candidates will have experience of working in a busy environment balancing conflicting priorities. 

Candidates will be expected to be flexible in their approach to work, as you will be expected to attend Board and Committee meetings, usually held outside normal office hours. 

Candidates will be proficient with all MS Office packages and have the ability to learn and operate bespoke packages.

A driving licence and use of your own vehicle is essential for site visits.
