Job Details
Yorkshire Housing are recruiting for a motivated Multi-Skilled Gas Operative to join our regional HomeWorks team who provide quality and efficient services around Yorkshire. You will be based predominantly in the South of our region (Sheffield, Wakefield, Doncaster Rotherham or Barnsley) but you will be expected to travel also across the entire Yorkshire region.

Within the wider HomeWorks team our Multi-Skilled Gas Operatives carry out all aspects of Gas work in properties owned or managed by Yorkshire Housing.
What will you be doing?
You will carry out annual gas services/safety checks and maintain gas boilers/heating systems following manufacturer’s instructions, in accordance with the Gas Safety (installation and use) Regulations and Yorkshire Housings policies and procedures.
You will provide amazing customer service at all times to our customers & understand their responsibility in being a customer facing operative and an ambassador for the organisation.
You will also work closely with the compliance team in ensuring work is undertaken safely & ensuring best safety practice is adhered to at all times.

Additional key requirements include (Full requirements on Job Description):
- Previous experience, servicing, installing & undertaking gas boilers and appliances in a domestic environment at high volume
- A formal gas qualification ACS Certificates CCN1,CENWAT, HTR1 & CKR1 or equivalent
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of current Health and Safety best practice
- Knowledge of best practice & understanding of gas safety legislation and standards.
- Basic IT skills (use of apps, hand held devices/Smartphone)
- Be able to deal with different priorities and to tight deadlines, but maintain high standards of work
- Full UK Driving License

In return we offer £34,320 for a 37.5 hour week with the opportunity for overtime when required, 25 days annual leave (raising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays. You will also be provided a vehicle for work, smart devices, test equipment, uniform and all PPE.

This is a permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week) role with no fixed location. You will be based predominantly in the South or our region but you will be expected to travel also across the entire Yorkshire region. You must also be able to time to time to work out of hours repairs and maintenance service as necessary and will be required to take part in a call out rota for emergency works cover. This may include early evening and Saturday operational hours as part of future service development.
