What you'll do

We’re looking for someone exceptional who wants to make a difference and strives in a challenging environment. If you have a proven track record of delivering reinvestment works (planned, cyclical and major) within the housing sector. Combined with the natural ability to lead a large reinvestment team, a fabulous opportunity has arisen to join us as a Reinvestment Manager.

What you’ll be doing

In this exciting new role, you’ll ensure Optivo’ s owned and managed homes are maintained to a high standard, delivering excellent Customer Service, Health & Safety and Value for Money.

You’ll ensure staff, residents, leaseholders, managing agencies and property owners are provided with a high standard of service.

You’ll supervise the work of the regional reinvestment team encouraging and supporting staff to ensure construction works and services are planned, specified, procured and managed through to completion in line with best practice, to ensure the work is completed to a high standard and that recognition is given for a job well done. Also ensuring all matters of discipline, poor performance, absence and capability are dealt with.

You’ll prepare programmes, budgets, risk assessments, and cash flow forecasts for the planned, cyclical and major works programme. Manage implementation to the highest possible quality and standards.

You’ll ensure robust systems health & safety management are in place to minimise the risk and monitor the reinvestment service delivery by staff and contractors. This Includes co-ordinating the work of consultants, contractors and staff and ensuring all necessary risk assessments, method statements, spot checks, etc., are carried out.

You’ll audit and review contractor’s quality audit plan and performance information to ensure quality of service is maintained and continuous improvement identified. To periodically review the service and make recommendations for improvement to ensure the quality of the service delivery is improved and Value for Money is achieved.

What you'll need

You’ll have previous experience of working in a similar role within Local Authority or a Housing Association.

You’ll have management level experience of line managing staff to deliver a surveying service.

You’ll have a proven track record in contract management, managing projects from inception to completion.

You’ll possess competent knowledge of relevant and current, codes of practice, building regulations, health and safety legislation, standards and materials.

You’ll have experience of project planning, programming and monitoring of reinvestment works.

The role will work with a range of residents and colleagues, so a positive approach to collaborative team working is essential. You’ll need to live our one team culture.
