Brilliant outcomes through integrated health, housing and care. That’s when it hits home.

Be part of something brilliant at Home Group, where clinical interventions work hand in hand with daily care and support.   We’re delivering brilliant long-term outcomes for people who have complex support needs through integrating health, housing and care.

As our Clinical Lead for Psychology (known internally by us as Clinical Practice Expert – Lead Psychologist), you’ll be our central lead for our Clinical Psychologists across Home Group, ensuring that psychologically informed approaches and interventions are embedded and delivered effectively, delivering brilliant outcomes for our customers.

This is a brilliant opportunity to be part of our senior team of clinicians and specialist practitioners, where you’ll use your expertise to oversee practice, deliver new interventions and support our operational and clinical colleagues to work with our customers in a psychologically informed way that supports our LIFE (Living Independently Feeling Enabled) support practice model.  You'll lead our Psychologists and clinicians to respond effectively to new initiatives, policy developments and provide their clinical supervision.  You’ll make a big difference as you support our growth aspirations so we can work with more customers, as well as influencing the design and delivery of our services on a national basis.

You’ll report to Jen, our Strategic Lead – Service Design and Practice and will work closely with our colleagues in our New Models of Care Clinical Team who come from all backgrounds including OT’s, Nurses and from social care roles. We don’t just love to support our colleagues and customers, we’re also there for each other too!  We guarantee every day will be different which will inspire and challenge you.

If you would like to have a chat about the role before applying, you can contact Lindsay our Strategic Lead at Lindsay.courtney@homegroup.org.uk.

Where you’ll work

You can be based from home however, this is a national role so there will be frequent travel across England to support our operational colleagues and clinicians as well as working with our customers in their own homes and from our different office locations as required by the role.  This will be approximately 2 days per week.

You’ll participate in our On-Call rota, supporting our operational support colleagues with any escalated clinical queries, predominantly over the phone.

A bit about you

You’ll be an experienced Clinical or Forensic Psychologist with a doctorate or equivalent and hold current HCPC registration.  You’ll bring extensive experience of working with a wide variety of customers/patients with complex needs including learning disabilities, mental health, autistic spectrum condition, behaviours that concern and forensic presentation.  You’ll be a strategist with an eye for detail, being able to provide advice to operational teams, analyse complex data and make expert judgements. You’ll really impress us with your ability to lead and unleash the potential of our customers and operational teams, offering clinical support and advice.

You must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle for work as you'll be required to travel and work nationally.  An Enhanced Disclosure Check will also be required for this role and the costs of this will be met by us.

How we’ll support you

It’s our unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off when you need it. Our focus is on delivering brilliant outcomes, not your working hours!

Through our brilliant learning pathways, we’ll support you with your own continual professional development (will pay for any relevant professional membership fees too) as well maintaining your professional registration through regular clinical supervision and reflective practice.
