We are looking for a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager (1 post) to join our Finance team. 

The purpose of the role is to prepare the Group financial plan, carrying out stress testing and flexing the plan as required. Prepare the Financial Forecast Return (FFR) for approval. Carry out financial modelling, liaising with colleagues across the business to understand the financial implications of growth, regeneration, acquisition, or development opportunities and aid decision making.

You will carry out financial modelling to assess the impact of any significant changes to the business, emerging issues, and opportunities, supporting decision making, assessing liquidity and funding requirements. 

You will prepare financial submissions in line with the Regulatory deadlines and present for approval to Senior Finance team.

Developing the Brixx dashboard function, you will create a suite of reports for use in accurately reporting and analysing the financial plan outputs; carry out analysis to inform or append to Committee, Board and funder reports, including relevant metrics, liquidity and covenant calculations.

You will also support the commercial subsidiaries and joint ventures in the Group with financial modelling, monitoring, and reporting of financial plans as required.

You will identify, build and develop an extensive network of external contacts to keep abreast of best practice and benchmarking.

Acting as a role model, you will display a proactive attitude and collaborative approach to achieving objectives, encourage a culture of cross team collaboration and provide workplace mentoring for finance team members wanting to progress.

You should be able to demonstrate experience of technically sound accounting knowledge, experience of Brixx business planning software and experience in compiling the RSH Financial Forecast Return (FFR).

You should also be Full/Part or working towards a qualification with a recognised accounting body (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or hold the relevant professional experience.

The base location for this role will be either Greater Manchester. However please note that due to Covid-19, we have adapted our working arrangements under government guidelines and Safe Systems of Work and the post holder would currently be expected to work from home.  Discussions around the current working arrangements and Safe Systems of Work specific to the role will take place during the interview process. Please note that the selection process will include 3 elements including a competency exercise which will require the submission of a financial report, a presentation and an interview. Details of the competency exercise and presentation will be provided to shortlisted candidates and interviews will be held on 28th and 29th January. Shortlisted candidates will be able to self select their preferred time slot and date from the options provided.
