As a Treasury Officer, you will be reporting to the Group Treasury Manager. You will provide support on a wide variety of Treasury related activities in a growing and high performing Treasury team.
A growing business with a strong social purpose
Our purpose at Catalyst is ‘homes people love’. That means everything from developing and maintaining great homes, to delivering excellent service to our customers every day. We provide housing for those who can’t afford a home without our help as well as offering a wide range of homes for rent, shared ownership or outright purchase. We’re one of the UK’s leading housing associations with 34,000 homes and 1,200 employees. We're a strong business at a particularly exciting point in our evolvement having recently merged with another large housing association, Aldwyck. We are inspired by the benefits of a diverse workforce. We encourage diversity and inclusion at all levels of our organisation and are fully committed to equality of opportunity.
We’re also a Sunday Times top 100 Best Company to Work for. We invest care, time and resources in our people because we know it’s our people who will drive our purpose. If you’d like to be part of what we do, please get in touch.
The Role:
Along with the day to day running of the Treasury functions, you will mainly focus on cash management and loan servicing and produce accurate short-term cash forecasts. Additionally, you will provide support with the Know Your Customer (KYC) process and handle the liquidity management responsibilities. You will also have regular dealings with banks and lenders, in particular with the management of surplus funds and the loan book.
About You:
You will have experience in cash management and short term forecasting or experience in other roles requiring numeracy and have Housing Association experience. Having experience of treasury and banking operations in a corporate environment will be beneficial. You will be able to communicate effectively, demonstrating good interpersonal skills and being able to show initiative, approachability and accountability. You will need to have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (creating new spreadsheets and writing formulae, such as VLOOKUP) and having Sun/Q &A experience is desirable. You will be comfortable adhering to strict deadlines and must be well organised, proactive and have good time-management skill. You will be able to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy. Ideally, you will have a relevant professional qualification, or studying towards one.
