We are currently looking for an experienced accounting professional to join us as a Financial Planning Analyst. The role will be based from Bedford* with some flexibility to work from home.

What you will be doing: 

  • Lead the preparation of the Corporate Business Plan, ensuring it is accurate and up to date.

  • Supporting the delivery of relevant and timely financial planning and analysis information to key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Providing papers for board, quarterly forecasts, returns for our Regulators and ad hoc project work.

  • Working with managers across the business to provide analysis and advice, identifying risks and seeking solutions to support service delivery and strategic decision making.

  • Support the identification and implementation of opportunities for improving the analytical capabilities of both the financial planning function and wider business.

We’d love to meet someone with:  

  • An Accountancy qualification e.g. ACCA, ACA/FCA, ACMA/CGMA.

  • Experience as a Corporate Treasurer or Financial Analyst ideally gained within the social housing sector.

  • Experience of Financial Planning.

  • Extensive experience in producing complex financial analysis and reports.

  • The ability to build and sustain effective professional working relationships within Finance and the wider business environment.

  • A high degree of IT literacy in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and of using a relevant financial system..
