We are looking for Financial Analysts to join us. There are three roles available, two on a permanent basis and one fixed term for 12 month maternity cover. The roles can be based in our offices in either Manchester, Leeds or Birmingham.

This post will support the Senior Financial Analysis Manager, Senior Regulation Manager and Financial Analysis Manager in delivering effective regulation for the assigned portfolio via a matrix management approach. Acting as an RSH representative in meetings, the post holder will communicate directly with designated registered social housing providers ensuring that key regulatory issues, in particular those related to financial concerns reach a positive conclusion.

As a Financial Analyst you will work as part of a team to carry out detailed financial analysis work across a portfolio of providers to obtain assurance that the Regulator’s economic standards are being met, and that financial viability is being maintained. You will gain this assurance by analysing various data returns submitted to us in addition to providers’ corporate information (including financial accounts and business plans).  Alongside data analysis and evidencing conclusions in written reports there may be attendance at meetings with providers, so some travel may be required.

The successful candidate will have or are working towards a CCAB financial qualification or equivalent with experience in financial regulation or financial management and be educated to degree level in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience. The candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent analytical skills with an ability to exercise sound professional judgement and reach conclusions.
