A growing business with a strong social purpose
Our purpose at Catalyst is ‘homes people love’. That means everything from developing and maintaining great homes, to delivering excellent service to our customers every day. We provide housing for those who can’t afford a home without our help as well as offering a wide range of homes for rent, shared ownership or outright purchase. We’re one of the UK’s leading housing associations with 34,000 homes and 1,200 employees. We're a strong business at a particularly exciting point in our evolvement having recently merged with another large housing association, Aldwyck. We are inspired by the benefits of a diverse workforce. We encourage diversity and inclusion at all levels of our organisation and are fully committed to equality of opportunity.
We’re also a Sunday Times top 100 Best Company to Work for. We invest care, time and resources in our people because we know it’s our people who will drive our purpose. If you’d like to be part of what we do, please get in touch.
The role
Reporting to the Head of Asset Compliance, you will monitor, and review documentation provided by contractors and consultants to ensure compliance and keep accurate records of all work completed together with relevant certification. You will also assist our Engineers with the management and administration of compliance contracts including building services engineering, gas safety, electrical safety, fire safety, asbestos management and legionella management and monitor contractor performance and report against key performance indicators. You will also generate schedules of work from standard documentation.
Key requirements
A confident communicator, you will be able to maintain relationships with internal and external customers including contractors, residents and consultants and you’ll ideally have some technical, compliance related knowledge. You’ll deliver values-driven service to your internal and external customers, by seeking to understand fully your customers’ needs, identifying and working to remove pain points, and always doing what you say you will. A positive ‘can do’ attitude is essential along with excellent IT skills – you’ll be proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word as well as database systems such as Orchard and Promaster. You will be willing and capable of engaging with training on technical, compliance related subjects such as gas, electrical and water safety.
