We are looking for a Payroll Officer (1 post) to join our Payroll Team.

 

 

The Payroll Officer will process and reconcile monthly payrolls, ensuring all payments including staff expenses are made within Onward policy and procedures.

The Payroll Officer will be responsible for inputting and peer checking all payroll data, manually calculating absences and ensuring correct internal policies have been applied. Processing monthly staff expenses and complete complex manual calculations. Complete monthly reconciliation of payroll and pension data. Prepare BACS payment files for staff payroll, and payments to third parties. Provide first line support for payroll and pension queries, and provide reports to the finance team on a monthly basis.

It is essential to have an in depth working knowledge of payroll processes, be up to date with payroll legislation and pension regulations alongside having excellent manual calculation skills. You should be able to work on your own initiative, and as part of a team, and have good verbal and written communication skills. GCSE in Mathematics or equivalent is essential.

The base location for this role will be Didsbury. However please note that due to Covid-19, we have adapted our working arrangements under government guidelines and Safe Systems of Work and the post holder would currently be expected to work from home.  Discussions around the current working arrangements and Safe Systems of Work specific to the role will take place during the interview process.
