Here in Home Groups reporting team, we work collaboratively with our stakeholders to gather their requirements, to develop into innovative reporting solutions. You will play your part through partnering with IS colleagues and the business to ensure that our Home Group customers have a positive digital experience.

In joining our reporting team you’ll soon become a subject matter expert in all data held in Home Group systems and the housing industry. Data is at the core of all of our business processes and decisions, you’ll produce reporting that helps the business to intelligently view and analyse their data. Your knowhow and skills with Power BI allow you to be a “power BI advocate” sharing your knowledge to empower the wider business to learn and adopt some of what you know. You’ll support the training of colleagues, as well as overseeing the Power BI capability across the business.

About our team

You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are passionate about providing the business with quality data and reporting insights, to make informed decisions for the future.  To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our manager Laura has worked at Home Group for over 7 years now, and she has developed her career and role while at home group. Outside of work Laura is dreaming of her next Comicon event and is already planning her next costume!

There are 10 of us in the team and we are a good mix of long service and new colleagues. Together we share best practice, knowledge and experience to ensure everyone gets the best outcomes. We’re looking forward to working with you!

Working hours

Here at Home Group we believe flexibility works both ways. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours! Currently we are all working from home and have the kit and technology to make that easy.

When we return to some semblance of normal working again it will be important for us to get together, when we can to work collaboratively and share best practices amongst the team. However there will be times, when you might work from home to concentrate on a particular piece of work.

Throughout it’s the team’s unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off.

About you

You to have a good understanding of Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft SQL server management studio and experience of data storage, data warehouses and data models. As well as being a power BI & SQL superstar, you also have VBA experience and advanced Excel skills.

You’re creative, passionate and ambitious, and will help us to deliver solutions that exceed expectations! Together we’ll take the business on a journey to provide the clarity it needs!

It’s important to us that you have worked in a reporting environment before. Don’t worry, we won’t drop you in the deep end, we’ll help to you understand how things work at Home Group!
