The West Country is thought of as a holiday destination by most people in the UK, but the rural parts of the region are, in fact, home to many permanent residents. Since our inception 35 years ago, we are proud to have established ourselves as a specialist provider of good quality housing in the rural settlements of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly offering a range of individual homes to meet local housing needs whilst maintaining good financial reserves, driving excellent customer satisfaction, and maintaining a dedicated workforce.
The continuing need for more affordable, rural homes in Cornwall and on the Isles of Scilly means that CRHA has an ambition to grow to meet that need whilst not losing the ethos of who we are. As our new Chief Executive, you will be committed to building upon our good work and getting to the heart of what we do in our community. Your strong governance insight will be useful in your role, as will your vast expertise in the housing sector, experience in managing social housing and your passion to see Cornwall Rural Housing Association evolve and grow.
You will be ambitious but passionate, aspirational but realistic, and our ethos will remain at the heart of everything you do. The role requires both strategic and operational input and you will need to be comfortable working hand in hand, on a day-to-day basis, with a small team of committed professionals dedicated to providing a caring, sustaining, and effective service to our customers. Whether you are already operating at this level, or seeking to step-up, your credibility will instil confidence in your team, empowering them to work with you to deliver the best outcomes for our residents, whilst your innovation, vigour and authentic leadership style will result in building effective partnerships with a range of key stakeholders.
