The Company

Anchorwood Limited delivers new homes for sale in a unique location. Working in partnership with North Devon Homes and selected JV partners it has successfully sold over 100 quality homes in the initial phase of the business.  The Company is now ready to move to the next phase of its plan and has growth ambitions to deliver at least 100 homes per year over the next five years. A pipeline of 1,500 new market sale homes is also to be established to help deliver the longer term growth ambitions of the group and to support the delivery of affordable homes in the area.

Job Description

Accountable to the Anchorwood Board whilst reporting to the Chief Executive of North Devon Homes, you will be responsible for developing and growing the business and delivering the corporate plan based on the values and commercial parameters needed for growth

Key responsibilities for this role includes;

  • Lead, plan and deliver a programme of commercial development projects through Joint Ventures from inception, negotiation through to completion.
  • Ensure the delivery of the corporate plan targets within agreed timescales and provide leadership and support to manage commercial opportunities and oversee the management of liquidity.
  • Seek out and negotiate new opportunities and work to develop the existing pipeline to agreed quality standards
  • Report to the board and support the Chair and Commercial Board in terms of governance, strategy, performance reporting and risk management.

Successful Applicant

You will have an outstanding track record in delivering construction programmes with experience of strategic and operational planning. With an in depth understanding of development programmes, you will have experience of leading and embedding a customer-focused culture in a construction division.

You will have excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills. You will have experience of representing an organisation externally at a senior level within a wide range of networks.
