As Data Standards & Insights Analyst, you will be responsible for and support the DS&I team by helping to turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. You will do this by reviewing, managing, scheduling and utilising data analysis and providing high quality and timely information, reports and monitoring to support decision making, service planning and performance monitoring for Lewisham Homes resident led Services.

If successful the main duties of your role will be:

Entry

  • Participate in the creation of a data governance framework and rolling data maturity programme, including the systematic adoption of data standards (e.g. HACT).
  • Produce regular monitoring reports/dashboards incorporating performance and risk information for senior officer meetings, contract and partnership meetings, boards and committees.
  • Identify potential performance challenges at an early stage and work with services, including contractors, to ensure causes are reviewed, wider implications are understood and actions are in place to tackle these.

Intermediate

  • A good understanding of database management including; MS Azure databases, and the development of; metadata, data models, Star Schemers etc.
  • Manage and support data cleansing / data migration activities including; the management of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes used to structure and manage data through Azure data factory/lakes and warehouses.
  • Run, analyse and develop algorithms that transform raw data into actionable insights.

Experienced

  • To engage with the council / boroughs and with external partners to negotiate the timely and accurate delivery of Lewisham Homes specific data
  • To scrutinise and monitor all statutory and regulatory returns, local authority returns and other external bodies’ information / report submission to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Work with business owners / power users to shape and prioritize user stories backlog, and gain approval via the relevant forums, for the team to then deliver against in an agile/flow-based model.

This role is currently remote working due to Covid-19. Longer term it will be agile working with some days being office-based.
