Mount Green Housing Association is a community housing association based in and around Surrey with around 1,600 homes. We are currently looking for a dynamic Assistant Director of Property Services to help us continue our exciting journey on providing high quality repairs and maintenance services and significant stock investment. The post is new to Mount Green as part of the appointment of six new Assistant Directors in phase one of our restructure and will be part of the Senior Management Team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help us with phase 2 of the restructure to make sure we are best placed to deliver good services to customers and have the best resident journey at the centre of how we operate.

Assistant Director of Property Services   £60-70,000, inclusive of car allowance 

To lead, manage and develop Mount Green’s property and assets services ensuring maximum performance through high quality and cost-effective services, which are accountable to customers and stakeholders.

Provide strong, inspirational, leadership and direction for staff, to facilitate a one-team culture across the business. Develop effective working relationships with colleagues and external partners, ensuring the organisation is fully compliant with the necessary legislation covering property and asset services. Key stakeholders include repairs contractor, gas servicing contractor, other ad-hoc contractors, service providers of compliance and health and safety (H&S) checks and works, and consultants used to support repairs and maintenance services. And in developing such relationships, ensure that Mount Green’s Corporate Plan/ Business Plan objectives and strategy are taken in to account.

Whatever your particular skills, you will:

  • Be fully qualified MCIOB or MRICS
  • Have a demonstrable track record of success at senior management level
  • 3 years’ experience of managing the delivery of statutory H&S compliance within social housing
  • Be able to carry out financial and risk appraisals of service delivery models and critically evaluate options and solutions
  • Be able to take a customer centered approach to service delivery
  • Be a good team player
  • Have an open and honest approach
  • Have a flexible, ‘can do’ attitude, able to generate a strong team spirit, that pulls together a team to achieve key goals and objectives
