Braintree, Essex - working remotely with occasional meetings in Braintree and Colchester

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Communications/Marketing professional to join our team to take overall responsibility for the operational delivery of internal and external communications for the business. Eastlight Community Homes is an agile employer, remote working is here to stay for those who want it.

Your day to day duties will include:

• Responsibility for management and implementation of agreed communication plans, projects and priorities
• Line management of our Communications Advisor and pro-actively supporting the wider team to be the best they can
• Providing value for money, credible communications support and recommendations to our teams across the business at all levels of the organisation
• Promoting knowledge and understanding of Eastlight and its services, opportunities, values, and objectives to our customers and external stakeholders using the most appropriate channel
• Participating in the shaping and implementation of policies and strategies relating to the Communications and External Affairs function

About you:

The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Experience of working in a marketing or communications function in social housing or a similar non-profit organisation
• Relevant marketing or communications qualification or experience
• Track record of managing people and supporting them to succeed
• Proven success in developing, implementing and measuring communication plans
• The ability to design creative and meaningful content which our diverse audiences identify with
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Creative thinking, exploring innovative approaches to communication
