Managing a small team of Repairs Administrators, we are looking for a Repairs Service Centre Manager to join our team. This is a key role and it will be up to you to deliver our promise of being a high quality landlord, managing the delivery of a comprehensive, customer focused front line Repairs Service Centre for all tenants, leaseholders and customers of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, covering responsive repairs, planned works, and other property related services.

To succeed, you will need experience of managing a contact centre and an ability to work collaboratively and effectively with others. Based at the Hyde Way, Welwyn Garden City office we share with our partnering contractor – Mears - we are looking for an individual who has the drive to develop services to our customers.

You will need a problem solving mind-set, excellent staff management experience but most of all the desire to drive improvements, ensure continued high levels of contractor performance and to deliver the values and behaviours set out by the council.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
