We have a fantastic opportunity for a Skills Network Lead to join our team based in London. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £43,000 per annum.

About the Skills Network Lead role:

Reporting to the Economic Inclusion Manager, you will work in both strategic and operational capacities, developing and maintaining partnerships with relevant, influential, borough-based and pan London organisations across the public, voluntary and private sectors to support the availability and accessibility of local services and opportunities. 

Responsibilities of our Skills Network Lead:

- Leading and building an exciting and diverse network of skills providers resulting in partnerships across sectors with a focus on increasing the availability of employment pathways for residents

- Leading the development of a robust skills programme for residents across Peabody and within LAPs

- Proactively managing skills network relationships, ensuring quality provision and repeat business

- Undertaking ongoing analysis of skills partnerships to identify gaps and address currently underrepresented sectors

- Developing a skills partnership package and designing and delivering skills-focused events, to support ongoing growth of opportunities for residents

- Ensuring quality standards are met by all engaged training or delivery partners engaged

- Attending partner events such as workshops, forums or networking to maintain relationships including keeping abreast of emergent skills gaps and yearly engagement weeks eg London Tech Week, Apprenticeship Week

 - Working effectively across the economic and other PCF teams to facilitate broader engagement and collaboration with the skills network, to consolidate local area arrangements or to be the client-side advisor during partnership development

- Working with the employment delivery team to facilitate the provision of services and partners able to advise individuals, partners and colleagues face-to-face, over the phone and online (including other digital channels) to help them achieve their learning objectives

- Supporting the development of skills pathway partnerships in defined LAP areas particularly with a view to increasing access the development of vocational, technical, access or basic skills opportunities

- Working collaboratively with the Employer Engagement Lead to support the facilitation of apprenticeship related activity

- Working closely with the Employer Engagement lead to understand and identify skills gaps and trends to inform Peabody services and activities

- Ensuring employer engagement activity is effectively monitored, evaluated, reported, working with audit and programme teams

What we’re looking for in our Skills Network Lead:

- A track record of delivery within the skills sector. Knowledge and awareness of existing and new skills gaps, provision and providers

- Leadership skills and a track record of effective staff management

- A track record of developing and maintaining significant senior partnerships within the public, private and voluntary sectors and an ability to manage strategic stakeholders

- An acute understanding of the education system, learning trends and innovative emerging models

- An acute understanding of current challenges, opportunities, trends and barriers to achieving skills outcomes

- Experience of demonstrating the impact of projects/services

- Passionate about creating opportunities for disadvantaged people and an active commitment to equal opportunities, with the ability to work in culturally diverse communities and groups

-  IT literate with the understanding and ability to use Microsoft Office effectively
