Maintenance Surveyor Voids and Repairs 

Role based in North London

Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw)

Salary circa £35,000 negotiable based on skills and experience

You will be working as an integral member of our maintenance team and will provide technical advice to improve the quality standards of our maintenance service.  You’ll be delivering a responsive, high quality and caring maintenance service to our customers using customer insight to maximise the customer experience.  You’ll be responsible for surveying and managing general repairs and empty property works in partnership with contractors as directed.

You’ll inspect Home Group’s properties to identify and recommend remedies for repair issues by pre-inspecting repairs, post inspecting after the work is complete and ensuring that our empty properties have the appropriate works completed to ensure they are ready to let to new customers.

About our team

You’ll be working as part of our fabulous team who are super passionate about delivering a first-class maintenance solution to our customers.  Our director Paul has worked here at Home Group almost 3 years now, having worked in contact centres and maintenance environments for the past 14 years. Outside of work Paul enjoys a hectic social life and when not cooking is planning his next trip with his wife Victoria!

You will have the support of a fantastic management team, you’ll be working for one of our Maintenance and Contract Managers.

Where you will work

You’ll work across North London but you will have specific responsibility for a portfolio of properties within your chosen area. The great news is that you will have the flexibility of working either from home or in one of our local offices (when we return to office working) and we’ll give you the technical kit to make that easy.

About you 

You will have the ability to manage, control budgets and expenditure with effective time management skills and be able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.  You will have the ability to work unsupervised covering a large geographical area.

Previous experience of contract management and working with external partners would be an advantageous to the role. You will possess a relevant technical qualification (or working towards) (e.g. RICS or CIOB accredited degree level qualification) to succeed in this role.

Due to the nature of the role you will be required to drive and have access to your own vehicle which you will be able to claim your business miles back on.

When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Standard Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
