Helping us to be leaders in New Models of Care. That’s when it hits home.

We have a brilliant opportunity for you to join our Business Development team, supporting us to develop a pipeline of opportunities to achieve growth in our housing related Care and Support services across England.

Covering the South region, you’ll focus on homelessness, Mental Health and Learning Disabilities services, supporting growth in our Transforming Care services which support customers with complex support needs.  We have ambitious growth plans and significant investment is being made to support the delivery of our strategy to ‘build homes, independence and aspirations’. The team are well-established, with a significant pipeline of new and existing business – and this is where you’ll make your mark!  You’ll manage a variety of frameworks and oversee tendering activity to retain existing and win new business.

This is a brilliant opportunity for you to work in partnership with our Operational Managers to develop innovative services that help people to thrive.  You’ll be seeking out new opportunities, developing relationships with existing as well as new commissioning teams, across the social care and health sectors. You’ll have the support of our fantastic clinical and operational teams as you develop new services, ensuring that we have the right practice and interventions to meet the complex needs of the people we provide services to.

About our team

You’ll be working alongside our fantastic team of Lead Business Development Managers, two fellow Business Development Managers, and a Coordinator. You’ll be joining our passionate and experienced team with a wide range of skills who are passionate about reaching our goal of being market leaders in New Models of Care. The team are headed up by Darren, our Head of Business Development who has worked here for over 8 years in both operational and business development roles. He loves to give his team the space to be creative, sharing knowledge and new ideas.

When and where you’ll work

You’ll shape your own diary, working from home and remotely with colleagues and commissioners (you can be based in any location).  You’ll get all the latest IT kit to support you.

You’ll be expected to undertake regional, and on occasion, national travel as required.

About you

You’ll have worked in a similar role previously, owning business development activity and have a great understanding of commissioning processes, including tendering.  You’ll have bid writing experience and be able to manage multiple tender submissions using your knowledge of supported housing. You’ll be an organised, ambitious team player with a track record of leading and coordinating collaborative successful bids. You’ll have brilliant communication and presentation skills with the ability to negotiate and influence in a commissioning environment.

This is a unique chance for you to join us and help mould our future and success, but to do that, it’s critical that you’re a self-starter, can manage your own workload and proactively seek out opportunities to achieve operational area growth in line with regional growth strategies.

Working flexibly - it's the output that counts!

It’s our unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off when you need it. Our focus is on delivering brilliant outcomes, not your working hours.
