Following the recent merger, the initial aim for this post is to expand the current service offering across the entire business.  This will be done in a balanced and measured way to ensure that quality doesn’t diminish.  Equally, they want to use this as an opportunity to develop and grow their staff team- empowering them to become more autonomous and giving them room to develop their own careers within the business.

Therefore, this role requires someone who is not only technically adept and able to demonstrate commercial nous, but also an inspiring people manager who is able to develop trust and confidence across a dispersed staff team.

Platform Housing Group owns and manages 45,000 homes across the Midlands, with a portfolio that includes social and affordable rent and shared ownership houses. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage, lead, and support the planned programme self-delivery team
• To work with the Operations Director and wider Property Directorate to develop, implement and manage a sector leading, customer focused responsive repairs solution for PHG.
• Provide the wider Property Directorate with technical support around products, specifications and modern methods of construction.
• Planning, setting, monitoring and effectively managing relevant budgets for the team, in line with delegated authority guidelines and financial standing orders.
• Production and presentation of business cases for new contracts / growth opportunities.
• Maintain and monitor relationships with key service providers and oversee procurement, update and renewal of contracts as appropriate.
